Who We’re Looking For

At CBRE Investment Accounting and Reporting Solutions (‘CBRE IA&R’), we are hiring for a Fund Controller to join our UK Team in London. Reporting directly to the Senior Manager, you will be responsible for service delivery to an agreed portfolio of clients in line with client-specific service level agreements.

This role involves working in a successful organization that leads in Fund Accounting of Real Estate Funds, including open/closed-ended funds, listed REITs, mutual funds, private partnerships, and joint ventures. You will provide core accounting services and support for real estate funds in the UK & Europe.

Within CBRE IA&R, you will have opportunities for personal development, expanding your knowledge, and improving processes.

Main Responsibilities

• Produce or oversee Statutory Reporting, Investor Reporting, Board Papers, NAV Calculations, Income Distribution Calculations, and Tax Returns for UK, Luxembourg, and Jersey Real Estate Funds or SPVs.
• Maintain records for entities and assets on the Yardi system and contribute to the Yardi strategy.
• Oversee services provided by third-party providers.
• Support transactions for acquisitions, including structuring advice, setting up investment structures, and liaising with clients’ investment teams.
• Support the setup of new structures, working with structuring teams, counsel, advisors, and fund managers.
• Assist Product Managers and the wider team to meet business objectives.
• Present information to Boards and Committees.
• Supervise/line manage junior team members.
• Build and maintain relationships with clients and suppliers.
• Ensure adherence to group policies and refine procedures to reduce operational risk.
• Oversee invoice authorization and cash management operations.
• Complete ad-hoc projects as needed.

What We’re Looking For

• Qualified Accountant (ACCA/CIMA/ACA)
• Experience in fund accounting and real estate or private equity structures, gained in audit or fund management.
• Ability to plan workload amidst changing priorities.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Attention to detail.
• Willingness to handle various tasks and projects.
• Strong technical accounting skills and current knowledge.
• Ability to work independently and keep superiors informed.
