Your Role

We work on projects in freshwater and marine environments, including river restoration, ecological monitoring, biodiversity assessments, and impact assessments. Our team collaborates with in-house specialists and works on UK and international projects such as offshore wind farms, blue carbon projects, coastal power stations, green ammonia plants, ports, and R&D projects related to offshore floating wind installations.

Your Responsibilities

  • Guide and oversee fisheries baseline survey design for Environmental Impact Assessments and regulatory documents;
  • Author EIA chapters and planning submissions for development schemes in the UK and internationally;
  • Act as a Subject Matter Expert on fish ecology within multidisciplinary teams;
  • Represent clients as an expert witness for fisheries matters;
  • Provide expert advice on fish ecology and related issues;
  • Mentor and line manage aquatic team staff, supporting their professional development.

Candidate Profile

We seek a candidate with expertise in fisheries ecology, particularly migratory fish, with a proven track record in environmental impact assessments for major projects in the UK. A thorough understanding of relevant legislation, data analysis, and experience managing staff is essential. Strong communication skills and a positive, confident approach are required.
