Formed in April 2024, South West Saints is a rapidly developing club β in our inaugural season we have placed 2nd in London Womenβs Saturday Football League β Division 1 South. Our players come from diverse footballing backgrounds, some with experience in more competitive leagues and others returning to the sport. We balance competitive play with inclusivity and fairness , striving for strong performances while ensuring all players feel valued and engaged. Strong friendships and a tight-knit community are crucial to our club\βs success β It\βs the shared experiences and camaraderie that make South West Saints so special. As a young club, we continue to shape our brand and identity. We are committed to maximising the teamβs visibility and celebrating our achievements on and off the pitch. Key Responsibilities Lead weekly training sessions (Wednesday or Thursday evenings in South West London). Oversee fortnightly matches on Clapham Common, managing squad selection and rotation. conduct training and match related admin , supported by the committee. Support player recruitment. All key equipment will be provided. Coaching Philosophy Our coaching philosophy is built on player feedback and prioritises: Wellbeing & Confidence. Our coach will be approachable, patient, and emotionally intelligent, fostering a supportive environment where every player feels valued and empowered. Fair Development. We balance competitive football with development opportunities for all squad members. Training and matchdays will be inclusive and tailored to challenge more experienced players while supporting the wider squad, ensuring everyone has a chance to grow. Open Communication & Psychological Safety. The coach will be receptive to feedback from players and the committee, adapting their approach to meet the club\βs and players\β needs. Players\β voices will be heard and valued. Constructive Feedback & Growth. Our coach will cultivate a growth mindset, providing encouraging feedback to players and identifying areas for individual and team improvement. Players will be empowered to seek and act on this feedback. Future of South West Saints FC Our current focus is on establishing solid, sustainable foundations and ensuring the club\βs long-term stability, while continuing to play good football and take our community from strength to strength. Looking ahead to future seasons, we may consider expanding our playing opportunities. The coach will play an essential role in shaping the clubβs future . the ideal candidate will be someone we can take on the journey of the clubβs development, potentially overseeing additional coaching staff, if desired.
