Global organisation seeks a Head of Systems to take a lead role in the delivery of enterprise systems strategy with overarching responsibility for the design, build, delivery and operation in production of multiple business systems.

Working in a senior, Director level capacity, the Head of Systems will oversee the strategic development, delivery and operation of a number of application spheres as well as data and AI capabilities and numerous other cloud and on-premise applications such as business intelligence/MI output focused on the Microsoft stack.

Core responsibilities will include:

  • Leadership of a multi-disciplinary team of application managers, architects, testers and delivery personnel and operational staff within the full life cycle from inception through to production.
  • Management and liaison of multiple vendors and system integrators to oversee delivery, ongoing support and the commercial relationship.
  • Oversee the integration of technologies within Azure / Azure Integration Services with the ultimate goal of improving productivity as well as MI output.
  • Take a lead role in the adoption of AI (CoPilot, ChatGPT and other emerging technologies) ensuring its delivery is commercially beneficial, strategically aligned, secure and ethical.
  • Drive platform adoption, from a strategic perspective.
  • Improve Agile processes to the benefit of teams and the business as a whole.
  • Influence direction of travel at the senior, CxO level of the firm.

We seek a senior manager/director with significant experience engaging with C-Level execs who possess a range of strategic and hands-on leadership skills and experience including:

  • Extensive experience in strategic leadership to align technical teams and platforms with business objectives in both project delivery and operational scenarios.
  • Broad and deep technical background experience with particular emphasis on the MSFT stack incorporating Azure Integration Services, MS 365, MS Dynamics/D365, PowerPlatform, PowerBI/MS Fabric, MDM, CoPilot (where applicable) as well as other industry relevant enterprise applications.
  • Demonstrable experience of commercial and strategic management of 3rd party vendors and systems integrators combined with direct leadership of multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Extensive experience engaging with senior level stakeholders, presenting to steering committees and influencing both strategies and technical roadmaps.
  • A history of driving both innovation and adoption of technology within complex operational landscapes.

You may have been working as a Head of Systems, Systems Director, Deputy CIO, Senior Systems Manager and possess a technical background which may have encompassed roles as a Systems Architect, Project Delivery but critically experience of post-delivery operation management of enterprise systems at the senior level. You will possess exceptional communication skills and have the commercial acumen to be able to influence at the most senior level of this global organisation.
