About The Opportunity

• Outlier is seeking talented English writers to help train generative AI models.
• This freelance role is remote, reading and writing-intensive, with flexible hours to suit your schedule.

Your Contributions

• Ranking AI-generated responses by reading English texts.
• Writing and rewriting prompts and responses, including research and fact-checking.
• Assessing the factuality and relevance of AI-produced text.

Desired Expertise

• Professional writing or editing experience.
• Currently enrolled in or completed an associate degree or higher in a writing-related discipline.
• Strong writing style, exceptional English grammar, and good reasoning skills.
• Attention to detail and ability to clearly explain strengths and weaknesses of texts.

Payment

• Average pay rate for core work in the US is around USD $15/hour.
• Estimated rates: up to £11/hr in the UK, up to $20 CAD/hr in Canada.
• Rates vary based on expertise, location, and project needs. Higher rates may be offered for advanced qualifications.
