A part-time non executive director role for a not-for-profit organisation who make a real difference to the lives of the young people they support. Our client is a not-for-profit organisation operating throughout England and Wales to support young people with learning disabilities, along with their families and carers. Their aim is to provide personally tailored support which results in the improvement of quality of life for their beneficiaries. Employing a large number of staff in England and Wales, the services our client provides enable them to live with a greater degree of independence, control and freedom to the young people they support. Seeking to appoint an additional non executive director (NED) to their board, our clients are looking for candidates with strong OD&P (Organisational Development & People) and human resources backgrounds, ideally in the public or NFP sector. Diversity and inclusion are very important to our clients, who welcome applications from all ethnicities and backgrounds, and those with disabilities. This part-time role based in Exeter would suit candidates who are passionate about changing the lives of less fortunate individuals and making a big difference to society. You will be a strong communicator with excellent written and presentation skills, able to aptly put your points across in the boardroom. For the right candidate, there may be scope to work from home, but our client is ideally seeking a non executive director who can attend meetings one day per month and conduct research and prepare documentation from home for approximately 1.5 additional days per month.
