Position Purpose
Nurture client relationships with key European and Middle East provider stakeholders including government health ministries, commissioners, payers, and providers. Interrogate client needs and introduce potential HIMSS solutions including Organizational Affiliate Memberships, DHTPs, HIMSS Advisory (incorporating analytics tools), and Workforce Development.
Essential Functions
- Engage with Product Management team to understand Analytics and Advisory product suite, and available sales and marketing collateral.
- Collaborate with Marketing and Strategic Relations to generate leads.
- Establish relationships that ensure HIMSS is aware of relevant tender opportunities (RFPs).
- Deliver presentations, seminars, and workshops in support of the Advisory/Analytics portfolio.
- Track and manage client pipeline and customer engagement daily using Salesforce.com.
- Segment clients into self-serve commodity opportunities and more commercially material, bespoke opportunities.
- For material opportunities, probe client needs and prepare business proposals outlining HIMSS diagnosis of the problem, potential solutions with features and benefits, and pricing, developed in liaison with the Analytics fulfillment team.
- Issue standard client contracts and support Finance to invoice and collect payments.
- Stand alongside the analytics fulfillment team as the client relationship owner.
- Liaise with clients to ensure surveys are completed in a timely manner.
- For Stage 6/7 validations, manage logistics of pre-validation client calls and act as main contact between client and inspection team.
- Identify and follow through on opportunities for on-sales or cross-sales across all HIMSS products, encouraging potential and past clients to participate in HIMSS events.
What You Will Need To Be Successful
- At least 5 years experience in a client-facing role, ideally in sales, consultancy, or account management, including creating tailored business proposals.
- Skilled in listening to clients and probing problems and opportunities.
- Familiarity with healthcare sector landscape (e.g., commissioners, payers, and providers). Knowledge of digital healthcare preferred.
- Commercial awareness to identify high-value opportunities and understand commercial pricing strategies.
- Experience in managing a sales pipeline.
- Ability to manage multiple clients, projects, and deadlines simultaneously.
- BA/BS degree or equivalent practical experience.
- Highly articulate in English language, both written and oral.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for delivering presentations, workshops, and seminars using relatable terms for clients.
- Ability to work cross-functionally with Product Management, Marketing, Strategic Relations, and Finance.
- Must be located in EMEA region.
