About the role
Gartner Analysts are industry thought leaders who create essential research, make market predictions, and identify best practices for leading organizations. A Senior Director establishes credibility within Gartner’s Research and Advisory sector at local, regional, and global levels. Using exceptional research and analytical skills, they produce thought-leading research that clients apply to achieve their business goals. Analysts engage with clients through meetings, conferences, and other interactions to discuss challenges and provide recommendations.
Responsibilities
- Create innovative research content on software engineering architecture and development for a global audience.
- Engage with clients through presentations, conferences, and on-site visits, translating a vision for cloud-native and AI-native software into actionable strategies.
- Analyze client issues to identify root causes and help reframe their thinking for strategic solutions.
- Research and predict technology and market trends to provide actionable insights.
- Develop and deliver high-quality presentation materials for various events and client briefings.
- Support research and sales teams by providing market insights and driving client engagement.
- Represent Gartner research and methodology to clients, press, and on social media.
- Participate in research discussions, collaborate with peers, and review research outputs.
- Mentor and support newer team members.
- Maintain a client-centric approach, engaging clients regularly with Gartner research.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree and 12+ years of relevant experience or equivalent.
- Deep expertise in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and related technologies (containers, orchestration, serverless, APIs, microservices).
- Experience with Generative AI tools impacting software development.
- Proven leadership in agile product teams and software architecture thought leadership.
- Ability to articulate technology adoption scenarios for senior leaders.
- Strong executive presence and credibility with stakeholders.
- Excellent research, writing, presentation, and data analysis skills.
- Business acumen and understanding of global market dynamics.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a multicultural environment.
- Willingness to travel up to 25%.
