We are currently recruiting for a part-time Service Officer to join a Housing Association in Hillingdon, delivering front-line support to residents in sheltered accommodation.
THE ROLE
The Service Officer will provide on-site housing management and resident support at a sheltered housing scheme, helping to ensure tenant wellbeing, safety, and tenancy sustainment.
Key responsibilities include:
- Carrying out viewings and tenancy sign-ups
- Day-to-day tenancy management and maintaining accurate tenant records
- Offering signposting and referral support to external agencies
- Conducting weekly health and safety inspections and welfare checks
- Making safeguarding referrals and reporting incidents and near misses
- Supporting tenants with basic benefit and income advice
- Liaising with internal and external stakeholders to maintain site standards
THE CANDIDATE
The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a housing-related role, particularly in a supported or sheltered housing environment.
Essential experience and skills include:
- Understanding of tenancy management and housing management systems
- Experience working with vulnerable adults or older people
- Knowledge of safeguarding procedures and incident reporting
- Familiarity with basic health and safety checks in residential schemes
- Ability to liaise effectively with external agencies and support networks
THE CONTRACT
Working Hours: Part time, 18 hours per week, across 3 x 6 hour days
Length of Contract: 3 Month Contract, Temp with potential for extension
Rate: The pay for the role is £19.00 per hour LTD company rate. The PAYE equivalent is £16.30 per hour, inclusive of holiday pay.
