Responsibilities Reporting to the Sales, Marketing, and Consultancy Director, the Senior Business Development Manager is an experienced sales professional focused on new business growth. Your key role is to execute RM’s growth strategy across assessment sectors by building pipelines, establishing contacts, and securing new logo sales from prestigious, profitable customers across various market sectors. Our vision is to grow from our strong position as a provider of high-stakes eMarking solutions into a recognized leader in the eAssessment market, pioneering ideas like AI and adaptive testing to create innovative solutions. You will support and coach the Business Development Managers, own the sales process, and lead strategic deals typically valued between £500k-£10m. You must demonstrate excellent commercial and financial acumen, manage relationships at the C-suite level, and craft relevant, viable solutions that align with RM’s growth strategies. Deals may take 6 months to 2 years to close, requiring strong matrix management skills and the ability to motivate teams to develop cost-effective, competitive solutions. You will keep leadership informed of opportunities and justify their potential revenue and profit contributions.
