We are currently working with one of the UK's leading Information Resource Businesses specializing in Tax and Accounting, HR, H&S, and compliance professionals. Our client values sales coaching and training highly, considering it fundamental for both new recruits and tenured staff to continually hone their skills and excel in their roles. This is an exciting opportunity for a senior Sales Trainer to design and implement new training initiatives based on weekly 121 call coaching scores with salespeople. The role involves bringing innovative ideas to motivate teams and ensure effective adoption of coaching strategies. The company provides online platforms, legislation, insurance, advice lines, training materials, webinars, and tools to help professionals stay credible and up-to-date, supporting organizational growth and excellence.
As a Sales Trainer, your focus will be on enhancing the quality of in-house Business Sales Consultants and Business Development Managers, ensuring effective appointment setting and closing of sales. The company has ambitious growth plans, aiming to increase its sales force from 70 to 95 this year. You will collaborate with other Senior Coaches on induction, development, and progression of sales staff, working across departments to maximize opportunities.
DAY-TO-DAY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Support sales teams in increasing market penetration of online information products through 121 call coaching and mentorship.
- Design and deliver engaging training sessions, both virtual and physical, including creating a comprehensive sales playbook on best practices.
- Provide regular feedback to Sales Leadership on trends and knowledge gaps identified during call coaching.
- Promote referral and sales growth by motivating and incentivizing the sales team, ensuring the '4 steps to a referral' process is followed.
- Identify opportunities for training and upselling during sales calls and coaching sessions.
- Conduct quality checks on sales calls, using score sheets to evaluate and improve call effectiveness.
- Enhance call quality to improve appointment-to-close ratios.
- Assist with onboarding new team members, delivering initial sales and product training, and facilitating internal training sessions.
- Organize and lead ad hoc and Lunch & Learn sessions, coaching sales staff to deliver engaging presentations.
- Collaborate with stakeholders and sales members to share knowledge and best practices, fostering a culture of continuous learning.
- Drive behavioral change through effective coaching and training adoption.
