Overview: The main function of a vendor management associate is to coordinate and manage vendor users on Facebook’s proprietary localization tools and to maintain approved vendor resource databases.
Job Responsibilities:
- Ensure all external resources are appropriately provisioned on Facebook's internal systems in compliance with company policy
- Own communication with a diverse network of localization vendor companies
- Create and execute vendor test, probation, and localization schedules
- Review, prioritize, and track progress of issues that affect localization vendor operations and efficiencies
- Work with vendors to ensure all assignments are understood, timelines are followed, and deliveries are completed correctly and on time
- Analyse vendor workflow issues and provide optimal solutions
- Support cross-functional teams and stakeholders (Program Management, Management, Engineering, etc.) to ensure localization requirements are implemented and the localization process is well understood
- Work with tooling teams to define Vendor Platform designs and automation
- Improve and optimize internal and external processes and workflows

- Different queries from vendors – comms to vendors daily
- Supporting the biggest vendor, who is the most important – RWS
- The total linguist pool is around 4000 linguists they CW is managing, tooling, and troubleshooting
- Partnering with the vendor and monitoring performance
- Joining weekly calls with the vendor and various initiatives they are involved in
Education/Experience:
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience
