We work directly with PMs and analysts and collaborate with relevant Core teams to build custom tools to assist in the investment research process. Leveraging internal and market data sources, combined with the team’s unique workflow, we aim to deliver analytics and automation tailored to their specific requirements. Principal Responsibilities Work directly with PM teams to build bespoke technology solutions that assist with their investment research process Automate data retrieval and custom analytics in various delivery formats that combine internal and market data sources Design and build data visualizations and user interfaces to visualize data trends and facilitate custom workflows Contribute to the transformation of bespoke projects into strategic firmwide application offerings Partner with Equities Management Team to capture requirements, monitor delivery, and manage expectations Maintain, support, and improve capabilities as new requirements arise Qualifications/Skills Required Education: BS or MS in Computer Science/Engineering or similar field Finance: 5+ years of experience in the financial industry (i.e., hedge funds, banks) and familiarity with equity markets Python: 5+ years of development experience with Python and core libraries/frameworks required; REST API design/development experience (i.e., Flask) desired SQL: 5+ years of development experience in schema design, ETL techniques, and query development required UI: Development experience with JavaScript and UI frameworks (i.e., Angular) and/or data visualization tools (i.e., Tableau) a plus C#: Development experience with C#/.NET a plus Excel/VBA: Experience with formula and macro coding a plus Comfortable in both Windows and Linux environments Strong software architecture/design principles with ability to design robust, reliable, and scalable systems Strong analytical and problem solving skills with a strong attention to detail Willingness and excitement to learn new technologies and business areas Solid verbal and written communication skills Please note that if you are NOT a passport holder of the country for the vacancy you might need a work permit.
