CitySuites, a market leading accommodation for the business traveller, is seeking an experienced, service driven and highly vigilant Receptionist to work within our premium residential residence in Manchester city centre.
As a receptionist you will work in shifts as part of a team. The reception team will work individually and will provide a 24/7 reception presence. CitySuites operates 7 days a week, and the reception team will be required to work weekends as well as occasional night shifts.
In a customer facing environment, you will work as part of a small team providing the very best service and support to the residents. In the role of a night receptionist, you will be expected to work through the night to provide customer service outside of office hours, dealing with any incidents, and assisting and supporting our resident customers.
The ideal candidate will be service orientated, independent, confident, and able to deal with any issues which may arise. You will be a proficient individual with excellent communication skills and with a helpful, can-do attitude. You need to be computer literate and be able to liaise with support professionals in providing an excellent service to our customers.
Key Role Responsibilities:- To be the point of contact based at the reception desk, for all residents and visitors
- Checking in/out process of guests
- Dealing with both phone and email enquiries in a timely & professional manner
- Assist the guests wherever possible to ensure they have the best possible stay
- To quickly get to know each resident and ensure that they are always acknowledged and greeted whenever they are met
- To attend to any query or incident within the residence, and resolve the query promptly
- To complete all allocated tasks as laid out during the shift independently
- To be extremely organised & efficient to ensure all tasks are completed to the highest standard and any guest requests followed up & completed
- To be able to communicate & provide thorough, detailed handovers to co-workers
- As part of the reception team, provide the administration for the residence
- To be able to process payments and invoices accurately and complete end of day banking reconciliation at the end of each shift/end of day
- Be responsible whilst on shift for operating the pc-based Property Management System for all customer enquiries, bookings, payments, issuing invoices and chasing up overdue payments
- To take the lead in the event of an emergency, following procedures and contacting the relevant emergency services and escalating the issue to the General Manager
- To take and maintain clear and detailed records of any incidents which may occur during the shift and where required, prepare and submit written reports to the General Manager
