My client, a leading national planning consultancy, is seeking an Associate Planner or Director to join their growing team in Central Bristol. This is an excellent opportunity for a Town Planner with strong industry knowledge and contacts - whether you're ready to step up or looking for a fresh challenge at leadership level.

The company is one of the fastest-growing firms in the UK planning sector, with ambitious plans and a strong presence across residential, commercial, heritage, renewable energy and infrastructure projects.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead on complex planning projects including Development Consent Orders (DCOs), offering expert advice to clients across sectors such as housing, commercial, infrastructure and energy.
  • Develop and manage client relationships, acting as a key point of contact and ensuring high-quality, commercially sound planning advice.
  • Support business growth through proposal writing, attending industry events and identifying new opportunities in the market.
  • Mentor and support junior team members, fostering a collaborative and high-performing team environment.
  • Ensure compliance with planning legislation, company policies and quality standards, maintaining professional integrity and confidentiality at all times.
You will have:
  • Full member of the RTPI
  • Good local planning knowledge across the South West and client contacts
  • Strong project and people management skills
  • Experience working with minimal supervision and a strong ability to use your own initiative
  • Capability of managing a wide and complex workload
