Procurement Manager – Stone Fruit / Fresh Produce

A fantastic opportunity has become available with a successful Fresh Produce specialist, in a key role as Procurement Manager . This position offers the opportunity to join a successful and driven procurement team, with a focus on designated fresh produce product category.

Working as part of an energetic and personable team, the position of Procurement Manager will become a fundamental member of the buying team.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Procurement of Fresh Produce, across a variety of Fruit categories to include Organic.
2. Planning & management of stock, to ensure volumes are met.
3. Liaising with all parties to ensure product quality is achieved.
4. Managing successful & positive Supplier relationships.
5. Negotiating prices, meeting financial KPI’s.

Requirements:

1. Experience gained at a senior level in Buying / Procurement within Fresh Produce, with fruit being an essential criteria.
2. Professional and confident, with the ability to communicate at all levels.
3. An understanding of the Fruit Fresh Produce Supply Chain.
4. Numerically minded and confident working with data.
5. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
6. Excellent knowledge of Microsoft systems.

This role requires a passionate, organised and pro-active individual, confident in a fast-paced & demanding environment, with the ability to meet deadlines and tight timescales.

Hours: Monday – Friday

Competitive Salary up to £80k + other benefits included.
