It has an adviser and customer offering spanning financial advice, investment platforms, multi-asset investment solutions, and discretionary fund management.
The business is comprised of two segments: Affluent and High Net Worth. Affluent encompasses the financial planning business, Quilter Financial Planning, the Quilter Investment Platform and Quilter Investors, the multi-asset investment solutions business. High Net Worth includes the discretionary fund management business, Quilter Cheviot, together with Quilter Cheviot Financial Planning.

As an Audit Specialist, you will play a crucial role in delivering audits effectively across Quilter's Internal Audit Plan. This will help the Board, Executive Management, and the Audit and Risk Committees protect the organisation's assets, reputation, and sustainability. You will develop a thorough understanding of Quilter's business processes for assigned audits and be responsible for multiple audit assignments, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and in accordance with GIA methodology and quality standards.
Key responsibilities:
- Assessing whether all significant risks are identified and appropriately reported by the relevant teams.
- Assessing whether risks are adequately controlled.
- Finding ways to improve the effectiveness of governance, risk management and the system of internal controls.
- Develop a thorough understanding of Quilter's business processes for assigned audits.
- Responsible for multiple audit assignments, delivering to deadlines and budgets in accordance with GIA methodology and quality standards.
- Execute audits at all stages: planning, fieldwork, and reporting.
- Engage with business unit process owners to understand processes and identify key risks.
- Perform audit testing focused on key risks, using techniques like root cause analysis.
- Propose clear, practical actions to address control weaknesses.
- Keep key stakeholders informed of Internal Audit observations and maintain relationships beyond the audit.
Data Analytics:
- Focus on increasing the use of data analytics techniques to enhance audit insights.
- Proficiency with analytics or visualization tools (R, Python, Power BI) and experience with Data Analytics or Business Intelligence is advantageous.
- Understanding of data management good practices and experience with AI tools like Microsoft CoPilot is beneficial.
Other GIA Activities:
- Manage and perform Issue Assurance activities quarterly.
- Support continuous risk monitoring and annual audit planning.
- Participate in stakeholder meetings and review business MI/activity.
- Contribute to GIA's continuous improvement program and consider innovative audit approaches like data analytics and agile auditing principles.
- Limited flexible travel may be required depending on audit engagements.
