As a key member of the Quilter Financial Planning Advice Policy team, you will provide expert knowledge to facilitate the development of robust and proportionate business and advice policies to meet regulatory demands and support strategic objectives and initiatives. You will contribute to ensuring standards and policy guidance are maintained and embedded across QFP.

  • Manage a diverse range of activities relating to advice and adviser conduct.
  • Support broader teams with technical queries and escalations, and advice proposition design.
  • Use analytical skills and FCA Handbook knowledge to contribute to the development of proportionate yet robust Business & Advice Policy and controls.
  • Create/revise QFP business & advice policies and guidance, ensuring that these are concise, comprehensive and accessible.
  • Draft papers for QFP Committees setting out proposed enhancements to advice policy and standards.
  • Provide architectural thought and design to the advice policies and processes to ensure consistency and compliance.
  • Develop effective processes and relationships with key stakeholders across 1LoD distribution, proposition, and operations teams, and 2LoD compliance and risk functions.
  • Support the Head of Advice Policy and the wider team in delivery of key regulatory, strategic, and project activity.

Consumer Duty: While this isn’t a directly customer facing role, the duties you will perform will contribute to the overall positive outcomes for our customers by ensuring that the design of QFP's Distribution Advisory policies and standards are robust.

About You: You will be analytical with attention to detail but with experience of delivering a standards and control environment into an advice distribution model, particularly large-scale ones. The ability to collaborate confidentially and effectively with a wide and diverse group of senior stakeholders is critical.

Financial Planning Diploma level 4 (essential), level 6 (desirable) or demonstratable technical experience in a similar role.
