Our client based in Keighley, West Yorkshire is looking to recruit a Shipping Administrator for an immediate start. This is a temporary ongoing position.

Working as part of a busy Logistics Team, duties include:

  • Responsible for Web Bookings and arranging all customer collections.
  • Monitor, chase and process all PODs ensuring timely updating of our internal systems and all related administrative activities in the Shipping Department.
  • Working with Warehouse and Transport teams to ensure smooth and efficient movement of all shipments.
  • Responsible for the transport Planning for same day collections.
  • Entering and updating consignments, inputting data within our ERP system.
  • Working with our customers, delivering a service and dealing with queries from all customers and Hauliers.

Experience required:

  • Ideally some experience of working within a shipping environment would be desirable but not essential.
  • Must have previous office administration experience.
  • Must have excellent attention to detail and accuracy skills, coupled with computer systems.
  • A proficient user of Microsoft Office packages and systems.
  • Must be comfortable working at a fast pace and meeting tight deadlines.
  • Must be customer centric and can demonstrate the ability to build solid working relationships with partners and customers.
  • Fluent written and verbal communication skills are essential in this role.

Hours are 08:15 – 17:00 Monday to Thursday & 08:15 – 16:30 Friday = 39 hours per week. Rate of Pay: £12.50 per hour.

This position is easily accessible on public transport situated in central Keighley.
