Senior Quantity Surveyor – Flooring Colchester | £50,000 – £75,000 | Office-Based We’re currently recruiting for an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a successful commercial flooring contractor based in Colchester. This is a fully office-based role, ideal for someone who values collaboration and being close to the heart of project delivery. About the Company: With a turnover of approximately £4 million, the company delivers high-quality flooring solutions for commercial clients across the UK. Projects typically range from £15,000 to £300,000, covering a variety of sectors and offering consistent, varied work. Key Responsibilities: * Manage the full commercial lifecycle of flooring projects * Prepare accurate tenders, take-offs, and cost estimates * Negotiate and manage contracts with clients and subcontractors * Monitor project progress and manage variations * Produce CVRs, valuations, and final accounts * Work closely with project and site teams to ensure cost-effective delivery * Provide commercial advice and input into strategic decisions Requirements: * Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within flooring, interiors, or fit-out * Strong understanding of JCT contracts and cost control * Excellent communication and negotiation skills * Able to manage multiple projects simultaneously * Comfortable with a full-time office-based role in Colchester What’s on Offer: * Salary between £50,000 – £75,000, depending on experience * Long-term opportunity in a stable and growing business * Clear progression and the ability to influence business decisions * Supportive team and a professional, no-nonsense environment If you\’re looking for a role where you can make an impact and be part of a well-established company, we’d love to hear from you
