We have a fantastic opportunity for a JUNIOR CAD/CAM TECHNICIAN to join the team of a successful and well established metal processing business situated just off the M5 near Worcester. Working Monday to Friday, 8.30am to 5.00pm, starting salary will depend entirely on experience but we are anticipating something in the region of £25-30k.
As a JUNIOR CAD/CAM TECHNICIAN you will find yourself involved in:
- Off line cad/cam work
- Working to customer specifications
- Producing CNC Programs from 3D CAD models
- Converting 2D drawings into 3D
- Modifying existing designs
- Designing efficient cutting paths and nesting diagrams
- Liaising directly with customers
- Supporting a busy workshop producing bespoke one off and short production runs
This position will ideally suit someone looking to build on existing basic CAD, CAM or CNC programming skills gained within a work environment or alternatively someone from a hands on CNC machining background with CAD CAM training now hoping to combine the two. A full UK Driving licence will also be required.
