We’re hiring for a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join a fast-paced production environment at a leading manufacturer based in the High Peak. A key focus of the role will be on preventative maintenance and inspection to help ensure the smooth continuance of production. You will be working on a variety of equipment including high speed wrapping and packaging machinery and process plant. The foundations of the company are based upon the consistent quality of production, so it’s paramount that the equipment is maintained to a high standard.

  • £40,000 per annum + Bonus
  • Day shift: Monday to Thursday 7:30am – 4:00pm / Friday 11:30am finish

What will you be doing as a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer?

  • Carrying out fast and effective maintenance, equipment repair and service of machines
  • Monitoring OEE and ensuring that high efficiency is achieved on all lines
  • Carrying out preventative maintenance and inspection to an agreed schedule
  • Ensuring accurate recording of breakdowns using the iPad apps

What do you need?

  • Apprentice trained / time served engineer
  • Experience working in a mechanical maintenance role
  • Experience in fault finding and breakdowns
  • The role will be fast-paced and challenging therefore you must have an adaptable and flexible attitude and approach, and be able to keep your calm under pressure
