As Logistics Manager you will be responsible for overseeing the efficient movement of goods to meet customer requirements. This role involves managing the end-to-end logistics operations, from procurement to distribution, ensuring that products are delivered on time and in good condition while optimizing costs. The Logistics Manager works closely with other departments such as procurement, production, and sales to streamline operations and improve supply chain efficiency.
Key Responsibilities as Logistics Manager:
- Lead and manage all logistics operations, this will include inventory, warehouse and transportation.
- Ensure a consistent flow of materials and products to meet production plans and customer requirements.
- Ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of goods and materials, including managing inbound and outbound shipments, tracking, and delivery documentation.
- Build and maintain relationships with logistics providers, shipping companies, and vendors to negotiate the best rates, ensure reliable service, and resolve any service issues.
- Ensure all logistics operations comply with relevant laws, regulations, and company policies, including safety, environmental, and transportation requirements. Maintain accurate and up-to-date shipping and delivery records.
- Transportation cost analysis.
- Ensure TMS, WMS and ERP systems are maintained and used effectively.
