Arch Recruitment Solutions are currently recruiting for a Stores Person for a Manufacturing company based in Coventry. This is a position suited to candidates with experience working within a goods in/out environment and hold an FLT counterbalance licence.
Role responsibilities:
- Pick components and major assemblies such as engines or gearboxes for issue to either works order or sales orders using appropriate materials handling equipment provided.
- Pack appropriate cartons or pallets of the company’s products to satisfy works orders or sales orders.
- Allocate and issue stock to works orders or sales orders using the computer system.
- Process workshop returns on Sage and return items to correct bin locations.
- Determine shipping costs for domestic and international parcels and advise Sales Department to agree with customers.
- Check customer account status/payment status and raise despatch notes when payment status is OK.
- Book parcel carriers or nominated freight handling company.
- Loading and unloading delivery and collection vehicles using forklift or materials handling equipment provided.
- Collecting or delivering parts using company vehicles.
- Maintain a clean, tidy and safe working area.
- Assist in the erection and dismantling of company exhibition stands from time to time.
- Assess and recognise personal training requirements and communicate them to the Directors for consideration.
- Participate in internal and external meetings and training as necessary & identified by the Directors.
- Maintain an appropriate level of personal appearance (including PPE) suited to the specific environment in which the Stores Person is operating and within guidelines provided by the company.
- Promote within the team a flexible attitude towards working hours.
Role requirements:
- Experience working within a Stores environment.
- A full and clean drivers’ licence is required, to be able to drive the company Van.
- Hold an FLT Counterbalance licence.
