Location: Mountsorrel, Leicestershire
Contract: Full-time | Permanent | 3 week rolling rota
Salary: £31,380 - £38,811 + overtime opportunities
About the Role: We’re launching a new and exciting service to support children and young people aged 8–18 with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and complex needs. This home will provide short breaks for up to 3 young people at a time, helping them build confidence, friendships, and life skills. This home will be your base; however, there will be times where you could be asked to cover shifts and support at our other homes such as Hinckley, Coalville & Syston.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build nurturing, trusting relationships
- Partner with families and professionals
- Lead & support a team of Residential Support Workers
- Help with day-to-day tasks like cooking and cleaning
- Keep accurate records & reports
- Ensure safeguarding procedures are always followed
- Maintain a safe, caring environment
What You’ll Need:
- Level 3 qualification in Residential Childcare (or willing to complete)
- Experience working with children & young people
- At least 1 year in a senior/supervisory residential care role
- Strong understanding of safeguarding
- Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends & bank holidays
- Excellent communication & people skills
- Ideally you’ll be a driver
