About the Role
DC Solutions Services is recruiting on behalf of its client for a structured, analytical, and detail-oriented Estimator. The role focuses solely on preparing and managing tenders from concept through to submission. You will be responsible for delivering accurate, competitive, and timely cost estimates across multiple internal fit-out projects (e.g., drylining, carpentry, and joinery). The ideal candidate brings strong technical expertise, industry knowledge, and a proactive approach to continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Estimation & Tender Management
- Analyse plans, specifications, and tender documentation
- Carry out material and labour take-offs using Bluebeam and Excel
- Prepare competitive and accurate cost estimates
- Submit detailed and timely tender packages
- Track market rates and maintain up-to-date cost databases
- Generate cost breakdowns and variance reports
- Ensure consistency and accuracy in cost forecasting
- Source and negotiate prices with suppliers and subcontractors
- Build and maintain relationships with vendors
- Support procurement planning aligned with cost objectives
- Liaise with clients, architects, and engineers to clarify tender queries
- Provide updates to senior management on estimation progress and challenges
- Drive efficiencies in estimation processes
- Stay updated on materials, methods, and market trends
- Contribute to the team’s development and best practices
