My client is offering an exciting opportunity for an experienced Occupational Health Nurse to join their collaborative, multidisciplinary team. This role will be based at the client's site in Barrow-in-Furness.

As an Occupational Health Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing compassionate, professional clinical services to the client's employees. You will work alongside a skilled team of Occupational Health Advisors, Physiotherapists, and Technicians, offering a comprehensive package of care to promote health and wellbeing in the workplace.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide a full occupational health treatment service in line with the client contract, including wellbeing assessments, health promotion, health surveillance, safety critical medicals, travel health and assessments, vaccinations, and drug & alcohol testing.
  • Offer professional advice, support, and guidance to employees on-site.
  • Assess the fitness to work of individuals and provide clinical assessments for minor illnesses and injuries.
  • Conduct health surveillance activities as required by the client.
  • Work closely with the OH Manager to monitor and assess the clinical practice of the Occupational Health team.
  • Ensure clinical assessment skills are kept up to date with best practice guidelines.

What You'll Need:

  • Previous experience within the occupational health sector is essential, including experience with health surveillance.
  • Experience in A&E, intensive care, or as a practice nurse is highly desirable.
  • Registered Nurse (NMC) with a valid and up-to-date PIN.
  • Ability to assess and manage minor injuries and illnesses.
  • Experience in delivering health and wellbeing initiatives.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.

Working Hours:

Full-time position (37.5 hours per week). Monday to Thursday, 7:15 am - 4:00 pm, and Friday, 7:15 am - 11:45 am. Hybrid working options can be discussed.

Additional Requirements:

Due to site security clearance processes, only candidates with British passports and who are permanently residing in the UK will be considered.
