I am working with a respected college for some exciting opportunities. They are searching for an English lecturer on a full-time basis as well as two part-time positions. You'd be joining a growing department with excellent vision and values with the sole intent of delivering the most engaging and enveloping courses for their English learners and supporting the fantastic team.

This role involves delivering GCSE and Functional Skills, equipping students with key English skills.

Location: Harrow

Hours: Full Time or Part Time

Salary: Β£32,000 - Β£45,000

Key Responsibilities:

  • To implement teaching strategies to enable students to develop technical skills in English.
  • To work collaboratively with all staff involved in the delivery of English curriculum at GCSE and Functional Skill level.
  • To deliver high quality learning experience for students according to their educational needs, meeting internal and external quality standards.

What We’re Looking For:

  • You will preferably possess a degree or equivalent in English or a related subject area (or a Level 3 qualification plus proven successful experience of teaching English/Literacy/ESOL/EFL for at least 2 years).
  • You will have experience of teaching/tutoring GCSE, Functional Skills English, ESOL, EFL or literacy, and can engage and enthuse 16- to 18-year-olds from a variety of vocational disciplines.
  • You will either possess a Level 5 teaching qualification recognised by the FE sector, or be willing to undertake teacher training, supported by the College.
  • You must be able to teach one evening per week (Thursdays) until 9.00pm.
