Senior Civil/Highways Engineer Fleet Salary: £40,000 – £50,000 (Dependent on Experience) A transport and highways consultancy, comprising 22 staff across two offices, is seeking a Senior Civil/Highways Engineer to join their transport planning team based in Fleet. The workforce is evenly split between transport planners, engineers, and directors across both offices. The company delivers a broad range of services and solutions to clients, including all aspects of transport planning, S278/S38 highway scheme design, drainage design, and environmental planning. They undertake projects across both the private and public sectors — from commercial and residential developers to local authorities. Ensure all designs incorporate the requirements of relevant authorities and statutory bodies. Prepare, review, and approve design information and reports, providing constructive feedback. Ensure designs comply with MCHW, DMRB, and/or local design guidance. Essential Requirements: Demonstrable experience with Section 278 and Section 38 highway design schemes. Strong technical expertise across a range of highway design environments. Proven experience in managing highway projects, delivering them on time and within budget. Experience in mentoring and supervising junior highway design staff. Thorough working knowledge of DMRB technical documents. Proficiency in highway drainage design, including use of MicroDrainage software. Competency in using Civils 3D CAD software. Membership of a relevant Chartered Institution. Full UK driving licence
