Care Home Cook** 📍 Location: Cotsworlds 💰 Salary: £27,000 per year 🕒 Hours: 38 hours per week A dedicated and passionate Cook is sought to join a care home team, where high-quality meals are prepared in a warm and welcoming environment. This role plays a vital part in ensuring residents receive nutritious and enjoyable food tailored to their dietary needs. Key Responsibilities: – Preparing and cooking a variety of nutritious meals, catering to individual dietary requirements. – Maintaining high standards of hygiene and food safety in the kitchen. – Collaborating with care staff to ensure residents receive appropriate meals for their health and well-being. – Managing stock, assisting with menu planning, and ensuring the smooth operation of the kitchen. Candidate Requirements – Previous experience as a cook, preferably in a care setting. – Knowledge of dietary needs and meal preparation for elderly residents. – A passion for cooking and creating enjoyable mealtime experiences. – Ability to work independently and as part of a team. – Food Hygiene Level 2 qualification (or willingness to obtain).
