About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive Contract Manager to join our team and take ownership of managing contracts across a range of projects in Newcastle and the surrounding areas. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in contract administration, negotiation, and compliance within construction, engineering, facilities management, or a similar sector.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the full contract lifecycle from tender to completion, including negotiation, drafting, execution, and closeout.
- Ensure contractual obligations and deliverables are clearly understood and met by all parties.
- Serve as the key point of contact for all contractual matters related to projects.
- Review and negotiate terms and conditions with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors.
- Identify and mitigate contractual risks, ensuring legal and regulatory compliance.
- Monitor performance and ensure adherence to budgets, timelines, and quality standards.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of contracts, changes, and correspondence.
- Collaborate closely with project managers, legal advisors, finance teams, and operational staff.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Contract Manager or similar role.
- Strong understanding of contract law, procurement processes, and risk management.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple contracts and priorities across various locations.
