Pertemps are pleased to be working with a top Fire safety company in the construction industry. They are currently expanding and are seeking a Project Manager to work on Projects around the Midlands area. They offer competitive packages and benefits.
The role requires a pro-active and pragmatic individual who can work alone and as part of a team to collaborate with all relevant contributors for the design, supply, installation and commissioning of the systems with excellent communication and quality results to our customers. The project manager will have direct involvement from pre-order through to final account and warranty period. This is an opportunity to join a growing diverse team within an expanding sector of the fire industry. They cover all travel and accommodation expenses. Training, further qualifications and a bonus scheme will be offered to the successful candidate.
Typical Responsibilities:
- To expertly handle sprinkler installation contracts from initial enquiry through to final accounts.
- Assume full financial control of projects, delivering the works efficiently and profitably, including responsibility for raising purchase and subcontract orders.
- Effectively manage the installation work on site; attending regular client meetings; having responsibility for health and safety; producing progress updates and reports; and completion of project quality assurance checks.
- Prepare and communicate detailed programmes of work to ensure deadlines and contract requirements are met.
- Liaise with suppliers, design, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure timely delivery and information flow, and accurately report to clients, contractors, and governing bodies as necessary.
- Negotiate, monitor, and produce quotations for contract variations.
- Highlight possible problem areas at the earliest opportunity and obtain commercial advice where necessary.
- Prepare technical reports and submittals including operating and maintenance manuals and handover documents, by collating and presenting relevant information.
- Identify and report deviations or nonconformities from scope, Standards, or contract.
Package:
Salary – Dependent on experience, very competitive up to 70K.
