Hunter James Recruitment are assisting our client - a well established National organisation with their search for a Transport Manager to join their busy facility in Cambridge.
Responsibilities will include:
- To be self-motivated, plan and exceed service delivery expectations and manage the resources required for the department.
- Management of drivers, maintaining their schedule and recording their profiles in conjunction with the supervisors and managers.
- Organise and carry out successful driver recruitment throughout the year.
- Ensure all accident and damage reports are investigated and costs attributed correctly in conjunction with accounts invoicing.
- Ensure that all necessary reports, documents, schedules and diaries are maintained.
- Plan and action all movements in conjunction with Operations Distribution office Team.
- Work closely with the team to ensure all site health & safety procedures are adhered to.
- Uphold and enforce the drivers’ compliance policy.
- Ensure drivers hours are maximised but not exceeded, including accurate timesheet management.
- Ensure continuous legal management of drivers’ hours & WTD regulations are being managed throughout the year.
THE CANDIDATE
- Ideally the candidate will have strong experience within a Transport Management role.
- Experience of Managing an extensive Fleet of Vehicles.
- Transport Management CPC Required.
- Ability to work under pressure and to deadlines.
- A high level of IT literacy.
