It is essential that all candidates applying have a minimum of 3 years proven UK work experience. Sponsorship will not be available for this position. Our Client is looking for a Fluent Mandarin Swift Payments, Operations to join their small team on a permanent basis. This position is full time in office, 5 days per week.
Role: The successful candidate will deliver operational processes to support the business and customers whilst maintaining close to zero operational risk losses. To cover multi-discipline Operational services including but not limited to Domestic and International Payments. To provide general customer support specifically around payments and balance enquiries.
Key Responsibilities (but not limited to):
- Support and cover for transaction flow and data entry for international and domestic payments.
- Monitoring of daily queue management to review/process incoming messages that are to be formatted correctly, payments that have been held due to insufficient funds and forward value payments.
- To provide customer support and deal with enquiries related to clearing services; status of payments, client statements, account status and non-receipt of funds.
- Case Handling including dealing with funds that have been returned by our agent banks, funds that have been held by our agent banks for AML reasons and messages to request further information from our clients to facilitate held payments.
- To support the production of daily, weekly and monthly management information.
- Processing of monthly charges against the Participant accounts relating to bank charges and overdraft usage.
- Ensure all applicable processes and procedures are adhered to and updated as and when required.
- To upskill across other products/functions within the Department to provide cover and support as and when necessary.
Skills, Experience and Qualifications:
- Experience gained within international payments.
- Experience gained within central cash clearing.
- Understanding of the wider processes intra-day credit monitoring and case handling. Hands-on experience of operational processes.
- Must be competent on MS Office 2007 and SWIFT.
- Ability to communicate (written and oral) fluently in Mandarin is essential.
