An excellent opportunity has arisen for a commercially astute Corporate Legal Counsel to join a highly regarded organisation operating at the forefront of speciality insurance. We are a friendly, dynamic and growing business looking for a new colleague to join us. We are at the forefront of innovation in the UK Structural Warranty Insurance sector, where we provide claims management and loss adjusting services to insurer clients and our customers who may be experiencing a defect with their home.
Job Type: Permanent, full-time (Monday - Friday).
Salary: Negotiable depending on experience

What you'll do:
- As Corporate Legal Counsel, you will play a critical role in providing expert legal support on a wide range of corporate, commercial and regulatory matters.
- You will be responsible for drafting, reviewing, and negotiating key agreements while advising the business on governance, regulatory, and compliance issues.
- This role offers the opportunity to work closely with senior stakeholders, ensuring legal strategies align with broader business objectives.
- You will also contribute to risk management initiatives and provide company secretarial support as required.
- Advise on corporate transactions, including M&A, joint ventures, and strategic partnerships.
- Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of commercial contracts, including supplier, customer, and partnership agreements.
- Support company secretarial functions, including board matters and corporate filings.
- Collaborate with senior stakeholders to deliver commercially focused legal solutions.
What you'll bring:
- The ideal candidate will be a qualified solicitor in England & Wales with at least four years of post-qualification experience in corporate law.
- You will have a strong background in corporate transactions and commercial contracts, gained either in private practice or within an in-house legal team.
- The ability to work in a fast-paced commercial environment, manage key stakeholders effectively, and deliver pragmatic legal advice is essential.
- Qualified solicitor in England & Wales with 4+ years PQE in corporate.
- Experience from a reputable law firm or in-house legal team.
- Strong expertise in corporate transactions, commercial contracts, and regulatory compliance, providing excellent negotiation and drafting skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a dynamic business setting.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to communicate legal concepts clearly and concisely.
- A commercial mindset and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Experience with Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) Regulations and working with the non-life insurance industry beneficial.
- High level of integrity and professional ethics.
