We're pleased to be supporting ateb Group with the appointment of new members to join their Board. Established in 1981 and now managing over 3,300 homes and delivering a variety of services across its three companies that support communities across Pembrokeshire, Carmarthenshire and Ceredigion, all with the purpose of: Creating Better Living Solutions for the people and communities of West Wales.
ateb are now looking to appoint new Board Members to the group including a new Group Chair and a new People Committee Chair. This is an exciting time to be joining the Board with a new Customer Committee under development and a new 'flexible' strategic plan to help ateb achieve the ateb Vision i.e. what looks good for us!
ateb are seeking individuals with expertise, skills and knowledge in the areas outlined below, however equally value lived experience that will bring unique insights to the Boards and Committees. If your experience doesn't align with the specific areas listed, but you have relevant lived experience of working or living in social housing, then ateb encourage you to reach out and share how your background could contribute to the Board's work.
Group ChairHere are some of the qualities and experience ateb are seeking in a new Group Chair:
- Strategic leadership experience in a board/senior setting.
- Lots of infectious enthusiasm to 'Create better living solutions' for the people and communities of West Wales.
- A 'Customer Service' centric mindset that places the customers' voice at the heart of what we do.
- A natural empathy towards the DNA of ateb.
- Experience of effective Chairing and able to get the best from Board/Committee resources and members.
You will share similar attributes to the Group Chair qualities and experience and have a background in people strategy and/or people management.
Board Membersateb are looking for a range of skills for Boards and Committees but are particularly interested in applicants who will support the work of the Assurance and People Committees. To do this you will probably have the following background expertise:
- Housing Association / Housing Legal, compliance, or regulation
- Accountancy and finance
- Asset management / Property Development
- Digital Transformation and technology
- People management, wellbeing, and inclusion
- Communications and stakeholder engagement
- Employment law
- PR and marketing
Location: Pembrokeshire along with remote meetings
Time Commitment: Around 12 annual meetings plus preparation
Renumeration: £4,000 for Board Members, £6,000 for Committee Members and £8,000 for the Group Board Chair plus expenses.
