An exciting opportunity for an Electrically Biased Multi-Skilled Engineer to join a well-established food producer based in Rochester, Kent.
Location: Rochester, Kent
Salary: £50,000 + occasional overtime
Shifts: 4 on 4 off (Rotating: 07:00–19:00 & 12:00–00:00)
Contract: Full-time, Permanent
You’ll play a critical role in ensuring smooth operation and maintenance of cutting-edge machinery including:
- Flow wrappers
- Pick and place robotics
- Size grading equipment
Your focus will be on preventative maintenance, rapid response to breakdowns, and continuous improvement of production equipment performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and repair production equipment to minimise downtime
- Use fault-finding techniques to diagnose and rectify issues quickly
- Liaise with production to coordinate maintenance schedules
- Maintain parts inventory and order replacements as required
- Install and commission new machinery
- Comply with all health and safety standards
- Engage in ongoing technical development and training
What We’re Looking For
- Completed electrical apprenticeship (City & Guilds / NVQ L3 / HNC / ONC / 18th Edition)
- Strong electrical background with solid mechanical skills
- PLC fault-finding experience
- Previous experience in a similar manufacturing environment
- Skilled with CMMS and maintenance documentation
- Strong communication skills (Minimum B2 English)
- Proactive, safety-conscious, and solutions-focused
