Job Description – IBM TM1 Developer

Key Accountabilities

• The role holder will design, develop & unit test IBM Planning and Analytics (PA) software solutions.
• Provide data-driven insights to support business decision-making
• Work across multiple software engineering platforms, frameworks & tools to deliver innovative solutions.
• Provide expert input into systems analysis to optimise development effort and ensure performance of the platform meets SLAs
• Challenge requirements where necessary to ensure the best, appropriate applications are used / produced
• Peer review changes to IBM Planning and Analytics ensuring they are compliant with governance, have undergone adequate testing and that any system / process documentation used by BAU has been updated
• Coordinate technical stakeholders (solution architects, security architects, infrastructure, service management) to shape maintainable, high-performing, reliable, secure & cost-effective solutions.
• Continually improve products, solutions, tools & processes. Keep track of technical debt & identify & leverage opportunities to reduce it.
• Manage system security and user permissions

Key Competencies/level

• Experience working in finance and accounting
• Extensive experience with IBM Planning and Analytics solutions (Min. 2 years)
• Deep understanding of PA architecture and design principles
• Proficiency in PA Perspectives, Architect, Workspace, and TI processes
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Knowledge of financial planning functions
• Experience with OLAP data cubes, rules and feeders
• Familiarity with PAX and PAW tools

Desirable Skills:

• Experience working with Windows and Linux OS
• Experience upgrading IBM Planning and analytics software
• VBA coding experience
