About the Role:
As a Site Engineer, you will play a key role in the successful delivery of highways projects, with a particular focus on the installation of cycleways and footpaths. You’ll be responsible for overseeing on-site operations, ensuring works are carried out in accordance with project specifications, safety standards, and within the agreed timelines and budgets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate day-to-day site operations
- Set out and survey works in accordance with design drawings
- Ensure all health, safety, and environmental standards are met
- Liaise with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams to ensure smooth project delivery
- Maintain accurate records, site diaries, and quality control documentation
- Support project managers in planning and progress tracking
Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years’ experience working on highways projects
- Proven track record in delivering successful infrastructure schemes
- Strong understanding of civil engineering principles and highway construction techniques
- Competent in the use of setting-out and surveying equipment
- Relevant qualifications in Civil Engineering (HNC/HND/Degree)
- CSCS card (essential); SMSTS or SSSTS (desirable)
- Full UK driving licence
