The school provide an alternative education for children who have social & emotional difficulties such as anxiety and school refusal due to developmental trauma and adverse childhood experiences, as well as specific learning difficulties such as dyslexia and dyscalculia. The Youth Mental Health Worker will be working closely with trained professionals including Psychologists and Therapists and will have the opportunity to shadow their work. Your role as a Youth Mental Health Worker is to give them an education that is tailored to their individual needs, enabling and empowering them to understand that \’great minds think differently\’, to gain confidence in themselves and progress their learning.
