DesignTechnology Technician

We are seeking a talented, energetic and enthusiastic person to join our forward-looking and highly motivated Design Technology Department. The ideal candidate should have the ability and skills to work with materials, prepare them and to support staff and students within lessons; check machinery and conduct basic maintenance of equipment. The ability to repair tools and equipment is desirable but not essential. CONTRACT DETAILS: Location -Wigan Job Title – Design Technology Technician Full time – Start ASAPDUTIES Support pupils in accessing learning activities under the guidance of the teacher. Create and maintain a purposeful, orderly, tidy and productive working environment. Timely and accurate preparation and use of specialist equipment/resources/materials as required by staff/ curriculum/lesson plans etc. Record keeping including annual stock take and completion of department inventory. Ensure the health and safety and good behaviour of pupils at all times. Provide clerical/admin support, for example, basic typing, word processing, desk top publishing, photocopying, printing, updating displays.
