Our client is one of the most successful premium multi-franchise motorcycle dealership businesses in the North of England and franchised agents for Kawasaki, Yamaha, Suzuki & Peugeot. They live and breathe motorcycles and our 2nd generation family run dealership was established in 1980. They are looking for a dynamic and enthusiastic candidate to join their team in their premium multi-franchise business as a Motorcycle Parts Advisor.
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Parts Advisor with strong customer service skills and a solid understanding of motorcycle parts & accessories. As a Parts Advisor, you will act as the primary point of contact for customers, ensuring their needs are met while providing exceptional service. Your role will involve managing cash transactions efficiently.
Responsibilities and duties include:
- Organising all data capture to ensure that customers are communicated with effectively and every opportunity for selling and promoting the activity of the Parts department is fully maximised.
- Making sure that Parts Aftersales CSI scores reflect the expectations of the business and manufacturers.
- Developing and maximising every opportunity for the sale of parts & accessories.
- Ensuring the correct and efficient supply of parts to the workshop as and when required.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will have a successful track record as a Parts Advisor from either the motorcycle or automotive industries and a good technical understanding of motorcycles. Proven experience in customer service, preferably in the automotive industry - 1 year (preferred). Good mechanical knowledge to understand vehicle parts & accessories. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Ability to upsell products and services effectively. Experience with cash handling procedures is desirable. Strong organisational skills with attention to detail. Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Can reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred).
Essential
- A passion for motorcycles is an absolute must as is the ability to deliver results.
- A good technical knowledge of motorcycles together with the ability to communicate clearly with both the workshop and customers.
- Full clean driving licence.
- GCSE or equivalent (required) in English & Maths.
Desirable
- Full motorcycle licence or CBT certificate.
- Ideally from a previous automotive position, you will have the technical knowledge to be able to advise and accurately identify parts of a motorcycle.
- Beyond this, you will be keen to develop what you know through product updates, hands-on model experience and expert training.
