With over 25 years of proven success and innovation, they are looking to recruit a Mechanical Electrical Fitter to join their production team on a permanent basis, based in Banbury. This role would suit someone with an electrically biased background who is confident reading engineering drawings and working with control panels, wiring, and mechanical components. You'll play a vital role in assembling, testing, and checking high-quality systems to precise specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret engineering drawings to carry out accurate product assembly.
- Manufacture and assemble both mechanical and electrical components.
- Wire control boxes and complete machine systems.
- Conduct mechanical and electrical fault finding.
- Work to ISO processes and compliance standards.
- Carry out final testing and product quality checks.
- Maintain high standards of workplace safety and housekeeping.
- Participate in continuous improvement and problem-solving initiatives.
Key Skills & Experience:
- Strong experience in mechanical and/or electrical assembly (electrically biased preferred).
- Familiarity with pneumatic systems is an advantage.
- Ability to work independently, read technical drawings, and follow procedures accurately.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Applications, such as Word and Excel.
- Strong teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- A proactive attitude with a focus on safety and quality.
