Complex Care Assistant

Key Responsibilities: * Catheter Care: Assist with the safe and hygienic management of a catheter, including flushing through * Oxygen Therapy: Support with the correct use of oxygen equipment, monitor oxygen levels, and ensure adherence to prescribed treatment plans. * Glucose Monitoring: Regularly measure blood glucose levels, ensure the correct recording of readings, and assist with any necessary adjustments to diet or medication. * Provide general support with daily living activities, including personal care, mobility assistance, and emotional support. * Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any changes in condition to the healthcare team. * Promote a safe and supportive environment, adhering to health and safety guidelines. Key Requirements: * Previous experience in healthcare or complex care * Basic understanding of catheter care, oxygen therapy, and glucose monitoring * Empathy, patience, and a passion for providing high-quality care. * Ability to work independently and as part of a wider healthcare team. * Strong communication skills, both verbal and written. * A caring, respectful approach to supporting people with complex needs
