Laboratory Technician

Our client is seeking a Laboratory Technician to join an independent, organic, analytical laboratory on a permanent Part-Time basis. The Role will be based South of Aberdeen. RESPONSIBILITIES:  Carry out routine and non-routine chemical analysis of water, effluents, soil, industrially produced samples and related materials Ensure the application of quality control procedures during analysis. Ensure that ISO requirements are complied with, and to maintain safety standards and safe working practices within the laboratory. REQUIREMENTS: HNC or equivalent in Chemistry (preferably to degree level). Relevant previous experience in similar role would be advantageous but not essential. Friendly, helpful, positive approach to working in a methodical, conscientious and trustworthy manner. Ability to work flexibly and without supervision. IT literate to include good level of skills in MS Office software and database use. Access to own transport is essential
