We are looking for a skilled and reliable Electrician to join our engineering team. This isn't just an installation role; we need someone with strong problem-solving skills who can read wiring diagrams and get to the root of faults quickly.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Diagnose and fix faults using electrical drawings or wiring setups
- Work closely with mechanical engineers to tackle breakdowns and unplanned maintenance
- Share weekend and late-shift cover as part of a supportive, team-driven rota
- Focus on keeping the site running smoothly and safely
What You'll Need:
- Experience in fault-finding and maintenance (not just installation)
- Ability to read wiring diagrams (ladder diagrams a bonus)
- Positive attitude and a team-first approach
- Foundry experience is helpful but not essential
- Candidates with only food industry experience may find the environment less suitable
Working Hours:
- Monday-Friday day shifts (5:00-15:00 or 7:00-17:00 rotation)
- Saturday mornings (5:00-11:00) shared rota
- Late-shift cover supported by a 12:00-22:00 engineer
- Team works together to ensure we're up and running for the next shift
What You Get:
- £37,500 basic salary
- Overtime at £22.03/hour on Saturdays
