Are you an experienced Senior/Lead Buyer who wants to develop and join a growing organisation? We are working with a well-respected aerospace manufacturer who due to growth, are looking for a Buyer Team Leader on a permanent basis. The successful candidate will have previously worked within the manufacturing industry and enjoy building strong relationships with suppliers.
Permanent Salary dependent on experience
Monday to Thursday 7am β 4pm or 8am β 5pm, Friday 7am β 12pm
Site based Derby
Job Description:
- Effective day to day management of designated suppliers
- Purchase a range of raw materials and components and identify cost reduction opportunities.
- Lead monthly order book reviews with suppliers to identify performance improvements, supplier risks and mitigation plans.
- Mentor and support 2 Buyers for their own professional development.
Essential Experience/Skills/Qualifications:
- Well versed carrying out a similar buyer position
- Accomplished purchasing a range of components and/or raw materials
- Experienced working within the manufacturing industry
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
