We’re working with a well-established, multi-disciplinary engineering consultancy based in Birmingham, looking to appoint a talented Structural Technician to join their growing Birmingham office and support their expanding workload across a diverse range of sectors. The successful candidate will work alongside a team of engineers and BIM specialists, contributing to both new-build and refurbishment schemes. Baynham Meikle is looking for a Structural Technician with a minimum of five years\’ experience in a UK-based design consultancy. Revit experience is highly desirable, as is a strong understanding of structural detailing and a proactive approach to project work. This role would suit someone who enjoys working collaboratively and is comfortable producing high-quality drawings in a fast-paced environment. What You Need To Succeed * At least five years\’ experience in a UK structural design consultancy. * Proficiency in AutoCAD is essential; strong Revit skills are a significant advantage. * Experience in concrete and steel detailing will be highly regarded. * Solid understanding of UK construction standards and detailing practices. * Ability to work from engineer’s designs to produce clear, accurate technical drawings. * Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. * Team-oriented approach and excellent communication skills. * Eye for detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work. * Educated to HNC/HND level (or equivalent)
