Overview

A growing firm of Chartered Accountants is creating a new role due to company growth. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in supervising junior team members and supporting the Team Manager with reporting and workflow coordination, whilst managing your own day-to-day bookkeeping tasks.

This role offers the perfect balance of flexibility, responsibility, and progression within a supportive and well-established accountancy practice.

Working hours are Monday-Friday 37.5hrs.

Salary is up to circa £35,000 + benefits. Higher salaries can be discussed.

Duties

• Bookkeeping for a portfolio of clients across multiple sectors
• Bank reconciliations and maintenance of accurate cash records
• Preparation and submission of VAT returns in line with HMRC deadlines
• Invoice processing, including sales and purchase ledger management
• Supporting the preparation of management accounts and client reporting
• Assisting with balance sheet reconciliations and journal postings
• Supervising junior team members, providing guidance and reviewing their work
• Supporting the Team Manager with workflow coordination and team scheduling

What we're looking for:

A successful candidate would have strong previous experience in UK practice Bookkeeping and work well in a sociable team.
