Japanesen Trading House is seeking an Associate in Project Finance for Infrastructure.
Salary: 70-90K

Duties and Responsibilities include:
- Lead the financial modelling workstream for various M&A and BOT opportunities as well as supporting on managing existing operational asset models.
- Identify and research potential investment targets and sectors, expanding from energy and water to general infrastructure.
- Work as part of the team in the origination, development, structuring, negotiating and bidding for large scale PPP, water and waste infrastructure projects and/or M&A transactions.
- Lead due diligence processes and advisors.
- Support project financing and structure/negotiating key project documents, including EPC, O&M etc.
- Create and/or work with complex financial models which support the analysis of greenfield and brownfield opportunities.
- Review and input into legal, commercial and technical documentation, as required, for optimised project structuring.
- Prepare internal approval papers.
- Monitor and assess performance of existing investment portfolio and ensure maximisation of shareholder return.
Skills and Experience:
- Undergraduate degree in finance, economics, law.
- Minimum 5 yearsβ prior experience gained in either a leading industrial infrastructure player or financial institution with project finance or infrastructure investment background, ideally with a power, water, energy from waste or PPP background.
- Highly numerate with strong analytical and negotiating skills.
- Advanced financial modelling skills.
- Willingness and ability to travel frequently and on short notice.
- Fluent in English with excellent oral and written skills.
- Eligible to work in the UK without restriction.
